High-scoring or not, Nikola Jokic emphasizes Nuggets

LOS ANGELES—Nikola Jokic took the court at the Staples Center on Tuesday night fresh off his career-high 30-point effort the night before against Orlando.

The point total, combined with his 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals against the Magic, made Jokic one of only seven players to put up those numbers in a single game this season.

The second-year center from Serbia had scored 10 or more points in 17 of the Nuggets’ past 19 games heading into Los Angeles, notching 12 double-doubles during the run.

“He doesn’t care who scores the points as long as we’re winning,” Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried said.
