MINNEAPOLIS – In 2014, the smart money wouldn’t have been on Karl-Anthony Towns and Nikola Jokic, taken 40 spots apart in that year’s draft, to be any kind of rivals at center.
And yet, here we are.
Better yet, there they were, dueling triple-double style again on the Target Center court Sunday night. They’d done it before, back on Dec. 28 in Denver. Towns did get a triple-double that night while Jokic missed by a mere two rebounds. Jokic’s team, however won.
Towns got his revenge, making his production count in a Wolves’ 111-108 victory over the Nuggets.
